femininity converging with masculinity
"This collection is personal... I tried focusing on the details in every aspect; design, structure, planning, etc. It is the first collection that I curated tediously from start to finish down to the most intricate detail; that's why it's called The Blueprint Collection. I feel as if it could also be interpreted as black designers being "The Blueprint"."

Ethos
"I overheard a conversation explaining an art piece that hangs from the ceiling at Detroit is the New Black downtown Detroit. The sculpture was made of this mini refrigerator-size piece of hard plastic that looked like it had feathers on it. For the longest, I stared at it trying to interpret what it meant. I overheard the owner of the store explaining how the hard plastic represents masculine energy and how the feathers represented feminine energy. Once I heard this, a lightbulb in my head lit up; the meaning of this sculpture is in a sense what I've been trying to convey with my clothes for this collection in a vice versa sense. I want women to make women feel feminine, sensual, and attractive, yet dominant, cool, and brazen."
